The Director's Note~

It looks like the number of students entering in fall 2011 will be greater than those who entered in 2010, and so we are likely to grow some more. Such growth generates challenges at a rate that exceeds resource generation, but the fact that we have to make adjustments to accommodate a larger student population says much about the quality of our programs. I greatly appreciate the efforts of SENR's faculty, staff and students in creating our success.

Students who attended the reception held in their honor on June 3 were treated to an impromptu visit by President Gee, who took the time to speak (and pose for pictures) with each of our graduates, as well as SENR faculty, staff and alumni. President Gee has many similar opportunities on any given evening, and we were fortunate to have him here. Each graduate also received a complimentary one-year member in the SENR Alumni Society (SENRAS), as well as a gift. I am grateful for having alumni dedicated to remaining active in SENR, and for their willingness to engage with our students. They have taken an increasingly active role in promoting our student's professional development both pre-and post-graduation, and I strongly encourage all SENR alums to join SENRAS

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer. This is the last one we will have under the quarter system, so make the most of it!
