EPN PRESENTS: Earth and People – Lessons in Living Together

Dr. M. Sanjayan will speak at a special free event at OSU February 11, 2016. He will present Earth and People – Lessons in Living Together, Preserving our Present and Enriching our Future.
 
Dr. M. Sanjayan is a leading global conservation scientist, writer and an Emmy-nominated news contributor focused on the role of conservation in improving human well-being, wildlife and the environment. He is Conservation International’s executive vice president and senior scientist, and he previously served as chief scientist for The Nature Conservancy. His scientific work has been published in journals including Science, Nature, and Conservation Biology.

Sanjayan's broad-reaching television experience includes numerous documentaries for Discovery Channel, PBS, and the BBC and serving as a frequent contributor to CBS News. He was a correspondent for Years of Living Dangerously, the 2014 Showtime documentary series on climate change awareness.  Also in 2014 he returned as the featured contributor to the BBC World News series The Power of Nature. He hosted the five-part EARTH – A New Wild PBS series early in 2015, and co-hosted three one-hour live events from Monterey Bay for PBS and BBC, called Big Blue Live. This February 11th event is a special Environmental Professionals Network and School of Environment and Natural Resources event at 7 PM at the Ohio Union Archie Griffin Grand Ballroom.
