Curriculum Vita

RESEARCH INTERESTS
• Evaluation of remote sensing techniques to delineate different management areas within production fields to improve nutrient use efficiencies and minimize environmental impact of ag chemicals.
• Development of best management practices (BMPs) for nutrient application on production fields to maximize economic return to producers.
• Identifying the impact of nutrient application methods (inorganic and organic sources) and cultural practices on water quality.
• Identifying the correct operating resolution for precision ag techniques to maximize economic return to farming operations and minimize environmental contamination.
• Development of crop specific, nutrient application algorithms (primarily nitrogen) with remote sensing techniques to improve crop yields and maximize farm profit while reducing the potential negative effects of excessive fertilization.
• Evaluation of the impact of soil chemical and physical properties and cultural practices on nutrient retention in soils that are subject to erosion events.
