Curriculum Vitae

RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Genesis, morphology, mineralogy, classification, and management of soils
  • Discovery of "hidden stories" in soil survey and soil characterization databases
  • Soil Quality Trends in Lake Erie Watersheds. Soil quality is a function of long-term modifications in management practices that create changes in fundamental soil properties, such as organic carbon content, cation exchange capacity, water retention characteristics, temperature, and aggregate stability. These alterations, in turn, have an effect on other system outputs, including water quality and agricultural production.
