Possible Summer Internship with Rocky Smiley

Pending availability of funding I may have a summer position beginning in May.  This will be a short term position that will help me with my fish sampling and instream habitat measurements from channelized and unchannelized agricultural headwater streams within the Upper Big Walnut Creek watershed.  Specifically, I am most in need of help with my spring and summer sampling and applicants who can begin working full time on May 1, 2014 or shortly afterwards will be given priority.  This would be an ideal position for students interested in stream ecology, fishes, aquatic macroinvertebrates, and conservation biology.  Depending on the interests of the applicant I could possibly develop an internship project so the student could also gain experience conducting research.

Interested students are encouraged to send Rocky Smiley (smiley.50@osu.edu) their resumes, an essay (no more than three pages single spaced) describing their career goals and research interests, and a copy of their academic transcripts ASAP.  Thanks.
