Program Information
SENR Career Ambassadors are student volunteers who have completed hands-on learning experiences such as internships, research, or jobs related to their degrees. Career Ambassadors will serve as role models for experiential learning and help encourage fellow students to connect with opportunities to pursue hands-on experiences related to their career plans.
Duties of an SENR Career Ambassador
Volunteering to serve as a Career Ambassador is not meant to be a large time commitment. As a Career Ambassador, your duties will include the following:
- Wearing an SENR Career Ambassador T-shirt to your classes and activities on pre-planned “T-shirt days.”
- Making occasional, brief 1-2 minute announcements in your SENR-related classes to tell your peers about upcoming career events, such as career fairs, networking events, workshops, and employer tabling. You will also be asked to sign up to make announcements in other classes 2-3 times per semester (to help us spread the word even further).
- Attending one or two 1-hour training meetings each semester, where you will learn more about SENR Career Services resources and program messaging.
Benefits of becoming an SENR Career Ambassador
- Opportunities to further develop your communication, leadership, and career development skills.
