Autumn 2013 SENR Seminar Series

Sep 26, 2013, 4:00pm - 5:30pm

The SENR Seminar Series welcomes Dr. Kerry Ard, Assistant Professor, OSU School of Environment and Natural Resources, who will present Changes in Exposure to Industrial Air Pollution across the US from 1995-2003: The Role of Race, Income and Segregation

Professor Ard will explore the consequences of the emerging trends of increasing economic segregation and declining racial segregation on health risk. While previous studies examining risk from environmental toxins have found unequal exposure by race and class, she will demonstrate the importance of taking into account changes over time in exposure associated with the progression of deindustrialization, environmental regulation, and demographic shifts.

The SENR Seminar begins at 4:10 p.m in 103 Kottman Hall with a video link to 123 Williams Hall on the Wooster campus.
