EPN October Breakfast

The October Breakfast topic of discussion is Ohio's Water Resources and Citizens at Risk -- Ag-related Practices and Policies to Prevent Harmful Algal Blooms, Post-Toledo.  It will be held at the Natiowide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H CenterThe moderator will be Dr. Jeff Reutter, Director, Ohio Sea Grant College Program. This breakfast presents two panel for discussion of this topic.

Panel one will discuss The Science: Practices, technology and equipmen t to reduce runoff. Panelists will be Dr. Libby Dayton, OSU School of Environment and Natural Resources; Steve Davis, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service; Doug Busdecker, The Anderson; and Carrie Vollmer-Sanders, The Nature Conservancy. The discussion by panel two will be The Policy: Laws, rules and engagement/outreach. Panelists will be Dr. Larry Antosch, Ohio Farm Bureau Federation; Kristy Meyer, Ohio Environmental Council; and Dr. Elena Irwin, OSU Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics.
