EPN's 2nd Tuesdays Breakfast Club

May 14, 2013, 7:15am - 9:15am

Dr. Steven Amstrup, Chief Scientist and VP of Polar Bears International, will present Certainties, Uncertainties, and Truth about Polar Bears and Global Warming, and What It Means to You at this month's 2nd Tuesday Breakfast at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center.

Widely acknowledged as the world's leading polar bear scientist, in 2007 Dr, Steven Amstrup led a USGS research team to produce nine reports that were instrumental in convincing the U.S. Department of the Interior in 2008 to declare the polar bear as a "threatened species". Now he is showing the world that polar bears are not unavoidably doomed.  Dr. Amstrup is the 2012 Winner of the world's leading wildlife conservation prize given to individuals - The Indianopolis Prize.
