    CSAW Level 1 Training, takes an advanced look at chainsaw safety, felling techniques and personal protective equipment. This training will held on the Ohio State University - Mansfield campus Ovalwood Hall (1760 University Dr., Mansfield, OH  44906). Registration is $100 for OFA members and $150 for non-members.     A Graduate Defense Seminar will be presented by Elizabeth Burnett, an MS student in Environmental Social Sciences, on Friday, June 13th at 1:00 p.m. in 245 Kottman Hall. She will present Implementation of The Influence of Stress and Hardiness on Farmer's Intentions to Adopt Best Management Practice in the Maumee Watershed.

    A joint seminar between the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geodetic Engineering and the John Glenn School of Public Affairs will be held in 410 Hitchcock Hall. Presenters: Stefan Åström - Chalmers University and IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute Ltd., Gothenberg, Sweden, and  Jeffrey M. Bielicki - Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geodetic Engineering and The John Glenn School of Public Affairs, The Ohio State University.

    The June EPN Breakfast Club will be 'Main Street Dam Removal – Restoring the Scioto River in the Heart of Downtown Columbus.' The Breakfast will be on the stage of Bicentennial Park amphitheater with presentations by Alan D. McKnight, Director, Columbus Recreation and Parks Department; Bryon Ringley, P.E., Senior Principal, Stantec Consulting Services; and Amy Edwards Taylor, Chief Operating Officer, Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and Capitol South. A walking tour of the dam removal and river restoration sites will follow the presentations. Register at epn.osu.edu.

    The Chainsaw Safety Awareness That Works (CSAW) Custom workshop will held on the Ohio State University - Mansfield campus Ovalwood Hall (1760 University Dr., Mansfield, OH  44906). Each participant will not fell a tree, however each participant will use a chainsaw to cut an already downed tree in order to show the ability to handle the saw. This class is geared toward landowners, volunteers and people who need the skills to saw felled trees. Registration is $50. The registration deadline is June 2.     The OSU Climate Change Webinar for May will be Climate Change Impacts on Wildlife. Speakers are Benjamin Zuckerberg, assistant professor in the Department of Forest and Wildlife Ecology, University of Wisconsin at Madison, and Amy Iler, postdoctoral research associate at the University of Maryland and the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory.     The John Glenn School of Public Affairs is holding the State Food Policy Summit for food policy interests to join together across the state. The Summit is intended to inspire action by fostering awareness of policy policy activities and possibilities at the state level.  Learn about the current state of food policy in Ohio and envision future policy priorities for strengthening our local food systems. The Summit will be held at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. Learn more and to register (by Wednesday, May 21st). This event is free and open to the public.
