SENR Honors Thesis Presentation: Watershed Group Effectiveness
An SENR Honors Thesis presentation will be held Friday, Apr. 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in 245 Kottman Hall. Robert Naylor will present Watershed Group Effectiveness: A Case Study of Friends of the Big Walnut Creek.
My honors project is a case study examining the Friends of The Big Walnut Creek. I attempted to discern how this group can increase its effectiveness. As the case study progressed, it became apparent that the group needs to figure out how to increase their membership. If they do not do this, the group may cease to exist and will obviously not be effective for the watershed. After examining the data, prior research, and interviewing other local watershed groups, I attempted to formulate conclusions on how the group can increase its membership, its effectiveness, and articulate the options the group faces in its current state.
