Spring 2014 SENR Seminar Series

Jan 30, 2014, 4:00pm - 5:30pm

The SENR Seminar Series welcomes Dr. Barbara Wolfe, Associate Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine, who will present Columbus Zoo, the Wilds, and OSU: A New Collaboration to Advance Conservation Science.

A new strategic partnership is forming between the Ohio State University, the Columbus Zoo, and the Wilds, a 10,000-acre conservation research facility located in Muskingum County. The unique combination of this world-class zoo with over 10,000 specimens representing more than 575 species, a living laboratory of recovering surface-mined land housing large herds of species of high conservation value, and the research strength of the Ohio State University provides unlimited opportunity in education and research in ecosystem health, ecology and wildlife biology and medicine among other disciplines. This seminar will provide an overview of ongoing and proposed research and opportunities available through this new partnership.

The SENR Seminar begins at 4:10 p.m in 103 Kottman Hall with a video link to 123 Williams Hall on the Wooster campus.
