Discover SENR
Welcome, future environmental leaders!
Students in the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) are preparing for careers that will address some of the most pressing issues in our society: access to clean water and healthy food, climate resilience and adaptability, sustainable business practices, and proper management and use of public lands. On average, 94% of SENR grads are employed or pursuing additional education within 6 months of graduation.
We offer a range of visit opportunities for prospective students to learn about our five majors and career pathways, education abroad opportunities, Honors and Scholars at The Ohio State University, financial aid and the student community. Each session includes plenty of time for questions and answers.

Academic Overviews are offered in person at Kottman Hall or the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park — two unique settings that reflect SENR’s blend of classroom and field-based learning. Both sessions explore SENR’s five majors, career paths, study abroad opportunities and student life, with time for Q&A. Overviews at the wetlands also include a 30-minute outdoor tour of the facility.
Offered both in-person and online, 1:1 appointments with an SENR staff member can cover a range of topics to learn how SENR’s academic and hands-on learning opportunities align with your goals.
Experience Ohio State for a Day is a program that runs from September through April and offers the opportunity to meet 1:1 with SENR staff and tour campus with a current SENR student. This program is typically offered on Thursdays and Fridays.
Campus tours
SENR Academic Overviews do not include a tour of campus. Visit the Undergraduate Admissions visits page to find options for Admissions Overviews and Campus Tours.
