Executive Committees

The SENR Alumni Society hosts many events throughout the year, however, this is just a portion of what we do. To help us accomplish our goals our committees and their members play instrumental roles in carrying out the every day activities of the executive board. Below are the committees currently being utilized by ENRAS.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEES

The ENR Alumni Society hosts many events and activities throughout the year.  To help us accomplish our goals, ENRAS committees and their members play instrumental roles in carrying out the everyday activities of the ENRAS Executive Council. ENR Alumni are always welcome to participate on ENRAS Committees.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The ENRAS membership committee is responsible for recruiting new executive board members. Membership committee members are responsible for ensuring the board remains full and that there are qualified and talented people on the board.

EVENTS COMMITTEE

The events committee helps come up with, plan, and implement several events that are hosted by the ENRAS throughout the year. These events can include: membership drives, social events, annual membership meetings, graduation ceremony, awards and recognition banquet, and more.  The RendeZoo Planning Committee and Earth Day Planning Committee are sub-committees of the Events Committee.

COMMUNICATIONS AND NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE

The communication committee is responsible for communicating all of the proceedings of the ENRAS executive board, and ensuring that general members are able to stay informed on everything that the executive board is doing.  It provides updates on social media and helps with the publication of two bi-annual newsletters (one in the fall and one in the spring). The newsletter committee is responsible for coming up with content for the newsletter, compiling information, writing the articles, and issuing the newsletter to all of the ENRAS general membership.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION COMMITTEE

The committee is vested with working to help recognize notable ENR Alumni to be awarded recognized by SENR, CFAES and at the university level.   This committee also works to recognize SENR student leaders for their leadership and accomplishment.  Specifically, this committee facilitates nominations for the CFAES Alumni Awards, the OSUAA University Alumni Awards and the SENR Lee Johnston Undergraduate Student Leadership Awards.

FUNDRAISING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

The committee is in charge of finding new ways to encourage SENR alumni to become and maintain themselves as sustaining members of the Environment and Natural Resources Alumni Society.  The committee also works to assist SENR, CFAES and OSUAA on fundraising initiatives to benefits students and the mission of the university.
