Campus Change Process  

  •  Students who are interested in changing their campus to the Columbus campus must first initiate this change with their academic advisor at their regional campus. Please contact your academic advisor to discuss this process.  
  • Students must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA and 30 credit hours (post high school) in order to campus change.  
  • Campus change requests are processed after final grades are posted each fall and spring semester.

 Use these pathways to help you plan your first year at your regional campus if you plan to campus change to Columbus with a major in SENR.  These pathways include priority courses for each major at each regional campus. Degree Planning Tools 

Plan your semesters by using the degree planning tools. The best way to stay on track is to plan ahead. Even if you are at a regional campus, you can use these tools to plan the classes you are going to take when you start at the Columbus campus. These tools also provide the overall curriculum for each major and specialization. 

NOTE: It is the student’s responsibility to know their degree requirements. If you have questions, please ask your academic advisor.  

Experiential Learning

Learning outside of the classroom is just as important as the learning you are doing inside of the classroom. Whether you pursue an internship or a Global Education experience, experiential learning is crucial when it comes to building your resume and skills. Change your major into SENR 

 Are you passionate about the environment or interested in sustainability? Then the School of Environment and Natural Resources may be the place for you!   

 Our 5 majors span from social science to natural science. To start your exploration, we encourage you to check out our Majors Page {link to Majors Page} to learn more about them and the specializations within the majors.  

 To learn more about the curriculum, please refer to our Degree Planning Tools like curriculum guides, scheduling maps, and our math and science progression charts. It is important to understand the degree requirements for the majors within SENR. Due to the field-based nature of our classes, many are only offered once an academic year, so planning your degree requirements is crucial. Changing your major into SENR may also impact your timeline to graduation, so please discuss this with an SENR academic advisor if you are thinking about declaring an SENR major. NOTE: It is the student’s responsibility to know their degree requirements. If you have questions, please ask your academic advisor.

Ready to change your major or have more questions?  

Students interested in changing their major to one of the SENR programs are required to meet in-person with an SENR advisor. Call (614)292-2265 or visit our bookings page to schedule an appointment. Students are required to have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA to change into an SENR major.
