Overview of oceanic and Great Lakes resources, their roles in history, climate, commerce, and culture; examination of teaching materials for formal and informal settings. Students pay travel costs for field trip. Taught at F.T. Stone Lab. Prereq: 15 cr hrs of Social, Physical, and/or Biological sciences, or teacher certification; and permission of instructor.
