If you've already reserved the evening of Wednesday, April 19, 2023, to join the School of Environment and Natural Resources’ (SENR) Environmental Professional’s Network Signature Earth Day celebration event at The Fawcett Center at Ohio State - thank you and we look forward to seeing you.

If you have not yet RSVP'd to our private reception (in-person only) with a select group of SENR and Stone Lab supporters, environmental professionals, enthusiasts, and students at 4:45 p.m. in the Fawcett Center Ballroom there is still time to do so. This catered social hour features poster presentations from Ohio State senior capstone students advancing solutions to local natural resource challenges and Black on Earth, a multimodal gallery installation transporting viewers into green spaces that have been used as places of resistance by Black populations globally.

I understand some of you may not be able to travel to campus for this special event. If you are not able to join us, please know that we are very grateful for your generous support and I hope that we can find a time to connect in the future. Without you, we couldn’t continue to provide these vital experiential education opportunities for our talented students and future environmental leaders. Thank you.

Plan to stay for our evening program starting at 6:00 p.m with Brotherhood(hood) Dance! and a conversation with Dr. Tiffany Bourgeois, assistant professor of Arts Management at Ohio State, who will relate Black on Earth to her scholarship, practice of growing food, and use of creative inquiries into art, racial justice, agriculture, and the creation of green community spaces. Jera Oliver and Adrienne Williams, co-founders of the Growing and Growth Collective, will join Dr. Bourgeois on stage for a conversation about connecting the arts, agriculture, and community using culturally relevant and evidence-based programming.
