• This week (July 16 – July 19), faculty member Jeffrey Jacquet and the Global Coal Transitions Research Network will host The Conference on Global Coal Transitions in Collaboration with the IOP Science journal Environmental Research: Energy and supported by the U.S. National Science Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. On Friday (July 19) the Environmental Professionals Network (EPN) in partnership with the Global Coal Transitions Research Network will offer as part of their Summer Field Trip Series, “Coal Transitions: An Ecosystem Restoration and Cultural History Tour of Ohio’s Coal Country>>

Ohio Sea Grant Extension’s Lake Erie Emerging Contaminants Specialist will be based in northeast Ohio and provide expertise on Lake Erie ecology and critical issues, particularly emerging contaminants including marine debris/plastics, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products, PFAS, and others.
