Come visit the Environmental Education Final Project Showcase to learn about and celebrate work created by students in ENR 3612 – Introduction to Environmental Education & Communications. Students will be sharing their projects – from short films to activity plans – that aim to educate people about a complex environmental issue that matters to them.

As promised in our last Announcements, learn about SENR engagement at The Wildlife Society 30th Annual Conference in Louisville, KY here, including photos of some of our presenters representing SENR. Speaking of disseminating and sharing research on wildlife, Ashlyn Halseth, a graduate student in the School of Environment and Natural Resources presented a poster over the summer, "Long-term surveillance of sarcoptic mange in a highly-urban wild coyote population" at the 2023 International Wildlife Disease Association Conference in Athens, GA. A photo of Ashlyn presenting is in our gallery here. Ashlyn also presented a paper at the 13th International Mammalogical Congress over the summer in Anchorage, AL.
On campus, several SENR students, including graduate students Megan Greige and Harrison Fried presented either a poster or oral presentation at the First Annual Interdisciplinary Water Research Symposium on Nov. 3. Krystal Pocock, research and outreach coordinator for the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park was a panelist during the lunch and career panel. Check out the full program here.
In our next Announcements, we'll learn about SENR engagement at a conference focused on the study and conservation of freshwater and coastal fishes of the southeastern United States.
