A ‘New Day’ for Sustainable Agriculture: From Farmworkers, a Groundbreaking Model for Human Rights in the Fields
The Initiative for Food and Agricultural Transformation, part of the Discovery Themes at Ohio State, invite you to attend A ‘New Day’ for Sustainable Agriculture: From Farmworkers, a Groundbreaking Model for Human Rights in the Fields in 3150 Smith Lab.
A movement towards sustainable food and agriculture has spread throughout the U.S. and now permeates national consciousness, yet too many discussions about sustainability render invisible the three million farmworkers at the base of our food system. Join us to hear directly from a member of the Coalition of Immokalee Workers about this group of farmworkers who are leading an innovative and broadly supported effort to improve workers’ wages and working conditions.
Co-sponsored by OSU’s Student/Farmworker Alliance (SFA) and the Coalition of Immokalee Workers
