Australia: Human Impacts on the Natural Environment
Students on the Australia: Human Impacts on the Natural Environment program spend 3.5 weeks during summer term in North Queensland, Australia, surveying environmental issues including water scarcity and quality, the impacts of rising ocean temperatures, wildlife conservation, and more. The group examines conservation and restoration efforts while snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, hikes in the Wet Tropics Rainforest, studies the agricultural and mining industries, and learns about the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities pre- and post-colonization.
