Creating Pollinator Habitat on Utility and Highway Rights-of-Way Webinar

Rick Johnstone, Integrated Vegetation Management Partners, will present Creating Pollinator Habitat on Utility and Highway Rights-of-Way as part of the OSU Bee Lab Webinar Series. A follow-up discussion will be held immediately following the webinar in Kottman 333C.

Necessary safety and reliability of services can be provided using integrated vegetation management (IVM) best practices that are economical, restore native prairie plants that are a carbon sink, control invasive plants, provide Monarch and other pollinator & bird habitat, stabilize soils and buffer waterways.  IVM provides a legitimate alternative to mechanical treatments which often result in boom-bust cycles of vegetation and habitat.
