Ecological Interactions

The Wilderness Center, in Wilmot, Ohio, is holding Science-to-Go Ecology Seminars. Join ENR alum, Dr. Jeff Corney, as he presents the first in this 3-part series of seminars. This first installment will discuss topics including species adaptations, the interaction of plants and animals, disturbance of ecosystems and ecological succession that follows. We’ll answer questions such as: Why do certain plants and animals survive and thrive in some parts of the world but not in others? Why are some species considered “friend” and others “foe” within a community of living things?  If a tree falls in the woods (whether you hear it or not), what grows in its place?
