Exploring the Oceans with Dr. Robert Ballard
Dr. Robert Ballard, formerly of the Woods Hole Oceangraphic Institution, is a renowned ocean researcher, was instrumental in the discovery of deep-sea hydrothermal vents and communities - arguably one of the most exciting discoveries in earth science and ecology of the 20th century - and most known for his discovery of the Titanic. Dr. Ballard has been on over 140 deep-sea explorations and will talk about his passions for exploring the ocean in addition to answering audience questions. His talk will be held in the Archie Griffin Ballroom of the Ohio Union. Tickets are available at the Ohio Union Info Desk and are 2 per BUCK-ID.
