From Forests to Furniture Tour
Registration is now open for the From Forests to Furniture Tour
June 20th at and from the Ohio State University Mansfield
At OSU Mansfield participants will be out in the woods and all that that entails (including potential for ticks and poison ivy). At Yoder Lumber participants will walk over a distance of approximately one mile and up and down stairwells. They ask that everyone wear closed-toe shoes (No flip flops, high heels, or open toe are permitted). All tour participants must wear safety glasses and ear plugs which Yoder Lumber will provide
We will talk Ohio’s woodlands and their management and challenges, then head to Yoder Lumber to see how those trees in the woods are processed into lumber. At HW Chair see how the lumber became parts that are then turned into furniture.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of our Assistant Extension Director of ANR the cost for the day will be $10 per person (includes lunch and snacks during the day). We will start out the day on the OSU Mansfield campus then load the bus up and head towards the Millersburg area for the tours of Yoder Lumber and HW Chair.
