Urban expansion is contributing to increasing levels of light pollution across the landscape, with far-reaching impacts on both natural ecosystems and human communities. It disrupts wildlife behavior, affects human health, and limits our ability to experience the stars and natural nightscape. Dark Sky Ohio and Ohio Lights Out are working to address these challenges by highlighting the ecological and human consequences of light pollution and promoting community-based solutions to protect both wildlife and the night environment.
