Plan to join Rachel Henry's graduate exit seminar on April 9, 2025, at 3:00 pm in Kottman Hall, Room 333D or via Zoom. Rachel will present, "The Hazard Acceptance Model: Explaining Human Tolerance for Carnivores"
Abstract: The hazard acceptance model has been proposed as a potential way to explain human tolerance for carnivores. The current study examines the generalizability of the model across five species of carnivores: Cougar, Coyote, Dingo, Gray Wolf, and Red Wolf. This research will also examine the role of social identity as a potential moderator of tolerance.
Advisors: Dr. Robyn Wilson and Dr. Jeremy Bruskotter
