Maximizing the Benefits of Grid Modernization

EPN is pleased to be supporting a free program Tuesday, June 13 at the downtown Sheraton Columbus, sponsored by The Nature Conservancy and the Environmental Defense Fund.  Maximizing the Benefit of Grid Modernization.

Confirmed speakers include the Honorable Larry Obhof, President of the Ohio Senate; Mr. Asim Haque, Chair of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio; and Mr. Rolf Nordstrom, President & CEO of the Great Plains Institute. Other speakers will come from the utility and technology sectors as well as stakeholder organizations.

Within the past decade, the electricity industry has seen a significant introduction of innovative sensors, smart meters, and advanced communication technologies. Also coming to the fore are new technologies in the areas of renewable energy, energy storage, electric vehicles, microgrids and other new options for planning and operating the grid.
