The Wilderness Center, in Wilmot, Ohio, is holding Science-to-Go Ecology Seminars. Join ENR alumni, Dr. Jeff Corney, as he presents the second installment in this 3-part series of seminars. This installment will include soil formation, soil organisms and decomposition, the cycling of nitrogen and other nutrients, the water cycle, and the unique properties of water. We’ll answer questions such as: Why are the creatures that eat dead things so important to the living things? Why can’t plants just breathe in air and use all that nitrogen in the atmosphere to grow? How is it possible that I may have just drunk water molecules that are tens of thousands of years old?
