Where? OSU- OARDC, Fisher Auditorium, 1680 Madison Ave, Wooster, Ohio

Why? The ONTC Mission is “to promote the successful application of no till and soil health building practices through shared ideas, experiences, education, and new technology.” We want to teach YOU what WE know so we call ALL make Ohio soils better and healthier!

Learn what we’re learning from the historic no-till plots at OARDC about soil carbon, soil physical properties and more.

Glover Triplett, who established the plots with David Van Doren in 1962, will share stories with other Ohio no-till pioneers. We’ll spend 2 hours at the plots. After lunch, 3 concurrent sessions will include: managing cover crops (interseeding, planting green); cover crops for erosion control and forage; no-till corn success; and measuring soil health. 

Speakers include: Jim Hershey, Jerry Grigar, Jim Hoorman, Alan Sundermeier, Bill Richards, Bill Haddad, Steve Culman, Warren Dick, Rory Lewandowski, Rafiq Islam, David Brandt, Ryan Haden, and several others.
