Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program Student Presentations  

Each Thursday in June and July, Stone Lab and Ohio Sea Grant will host guest speakers during its summer college course season. Topics will range from fish and wildlife ecology, natural history, and management of Lake Erie to natural resource policy issues relevant to coastal environments.

Audience members, including those joining online, will be able to ask the speaker questions at the end of the presentation. Presentations will be recorded and made available for free on the Ohio Sea Grant website.

Tonight’s event features presentations from students in Stone Lab’s Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) fellowship. Topics will include: (1) Cyanobacteria nutrient uptake, (2) Population Status of the Threatened Channel Darter (Percina copelandi) at Lake Erie Islands, (3) Insect Prey Availability for Lake Erie Island Bats, (4) Spatial Analysis of Microplastic Concentrations in Fishes Across Lake Erie.
