An Honors Thesis Presentation by Jennifer Satterfield will be given on Monday, November 27 at 4:15 p.m. in 370 Kottman Hall. Jennifer will present, "The Effect of the Lead Water Crisis as a Focusing Event on Cooperation and Conflict Among Actors in Sebring, Ohio."
Description of research: An ex post facto qualitative study examining advocacy coalitions following the Sebring, OH lead water crisis using social network analysis. The findings so far indicate, surprisingly, very little community involvement. Instead, decision making was lead by various government lawmakers, the US EPA, OH EPA, and Ohio Environmental Council.
