SENR Seminar Series - Considering the “who” and “how” to achieve landscape diversification and conservation goals

Andrea Basche, PhD, assistant professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present, Considering the “who” and “how” to achieve landscape diversification and conservation goals on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Join via Zoom at 4:10 p.m.

In this seminar, we will explore approaches to increasing conservation and diversification in agricultural landscapes, including feedback from producers as well as analyses of state and federal initiatives. Are our current efforts achieving their desired goals? Whose voices have typically been included and whose are we missing? This seminar will focus on recent research from Andrea Basche’s research team and collaborations including analysis of spending in the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), a survey conducted with staff and board members at Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts, focus groups with Iowa farmers, and analysis of her undergraduate student work with women landowners in Nebraska.
