SENR Seminar Series - Resilient Ecosystems in our own backyard: 70+ years of Metro Parks in Central Ohio

Carrie Morrow, assistant resource manager for Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks (Metro Parks) will present, "Resilient Ecosystems in our own backyard: 70+ years of Metro Parks in Central Ohio" on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Howlett Hall 164 at 4:10 p.m.

Morrow's talk will provide background on the 27,000 acre Metro Parks system in central Ohio, including strategies to balance recreation with long term conservation and restoration programs. Morrow will additionally highlight some of theecological benefits of preserving wildlife and natural resources -including the importance of keystone species,endangered and rare species recoveries, and restored habitats (including Darby Plains Restoration and multiple wetland, stream and reforestation projects).

Morrow has worked in natural resource management at Metro Parks for almost 22 years.
