Investing in Trees for Health, Safety, and Equity - Creating Columbus’ First Urban Forestry Master Plan with 

Rosalie Hendon, Environmental Planner and project manager of Columbus' first Urban Forestry Master Plan with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. 

Columbus is the nation’s 14th largest city with over 127,000 public trees. Learn how the City leveraged existing data, community and industry stakeholders, and a consultant team to create Columbus’ first Urban Forestry Master Plan (UFMP). UFMP Project manager Rosalie Hendon will detail challenges, opportunities, and early wins that Columbus used to build a successful plan, as well as updates on implementation since the plan’s approval in April 2021.
