Urban Soils Workshop
The purpose of this workshop will be to give educators a broad overview of soils and soil management in an urban environment. Workshop will include a crash-course in soil science, basics of reading standard soil tests, some basics of upcoming soil health testing, and talks and discussion of heavy metals and contaminants commonly found in urban soils. This workshop is intended for those with minimal to no training in soils. Participants can expect to gain a better understanding of soil properties and processes, soil tests and management strategies that mitigate risks from contaminated soils.
To register: Please email Stefanie Richardson at richardson.972@osu.edu and include your name, title, and organization. Priority will be given to OSUE Educators, but if space permits, we can accommodate others.
