Regional Resilience 2026

Regional Resilience: Connecting the Northeast Ohio Value-Added Farm and Food Community

Thursday April 9th (5:00-8:30 pm) and Friday 10th (9am-4pm) in Midtown, Cleveland

  • Do you work to support Northeast Ohio’s farm and food systems in the private, non-profit, or policy sectors?

  • Are you excited about the potential benefits of local food systems and value-added agriculture for Northeast Ohio’s rural and urban communities?

  • Are you interested in connecting and collaborating with others to build a more resilient region?

Northeast Ohio has an abundance of assets including rich soils, a wide variety of farms, processors, small towns, and large population centers.  There are also many organizations and businesses working to create community and economic development through food and agriculture. Yet, we often work separately and disconnected from others.

To bridge this gap OSU’s Northeast Ohio Ag Innovation Center, Forest City Food Collective (formerly Oberlin Food Hub) , and The Fare Project invite you to be a part of free two-day event designed to ignite our social infrastructure and strengthen the resilience of our region by focusing on our people and relationships.

Together we will:

  • Map the individuals and organizations working in Northeast Ohio’s farm and food system

  • Identify the types of projects being implemented across our rural, urban, and suburban communities

  • Find convergent issues, needs, resources, and strategies

  • Create a common framework for organizing Northeast Ohio’s farm and food community

  • Build new relationships while strengthening and rekindling existing ones

  • Collectively identify next steps for our region
