Have a pond/lake/fisheries question?
Connect via Zoom on Tuesdays to ask questions and get responses from Eugene Braig, aquatic ecosystems specialist with Ohio State University Extension in the School of Environment and Natural Resources. Eugene's expertise is in “wild”-like sites, ponds and lakes as habitats, and recreational fisheries (i.e., as relate to fishing).
How the Open Pond Clinic Works
The invitation and links for connecting to the Open Pond Clinic are below. If your computer has an on-board mic and camera (or even just a mic), the easiest access is to simply click: https://osu.zoom.us/j/93316967686?pwd=ekR4WGZ5am1SRlNPRXp1a1JTT092QT09 and the password is “pond.”
There is a “waiting room” associated with the meeting “space,” so Eugene can address your questions privately, one at a time. This means there may be some wait times depending upon the number of participants having pond questions. Feel free to plan to share photographs of your pond issues or even specimens of aquatic plants, etc. with the caveat that there may be some wait to do so (expect to keep specimens cool and wet for an unknown length of time).
