The students coming into SENR are bright, diverse, highly involved, and ready to engage in the next steps toward a meaningful and impactful career!
Students admitted to The Ohio State University and have declared a major within the School of Environment and Natural Resources are directly admitted to our program. There is no separate application or additional criteria to be admitted to the School of Environment & Natural Resources.
To choose a major within the School of Environment and Natural Resources, select one of the majors below to indicate your intended area of study when completing your application for admission to The Ohio State University:
- Environment, Economy, Development and Sustainability
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Policy and Decision Making
- Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife
- Natural Resource Management
- Environment and Natural Resources, Undecided - select this if you want to be in the School of Environment and Natural Resources but are undecided about which major fits you best.

Scholarships for incoming freshmen in the School of Environment and Natural Resources are awarded on both the university level and the college level.
University level scholarship information can be found here.
College level scholarships through the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), which the School of Environment and Natural Resources falls under, have a separate scholarship application process. All incoming freshmen in the School of Environment and Natural Resources are eligible to apply. Deadline to apply for the 2020-21school year is February 15, 2020.
