The School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) welcomes a large number of transfer students every year. One third of all students in our program are transfer students. We know what you need to be successful and have the resources in place to see you through to graduation.
Admissions
Students that are admitted to The Ohio State University and have indicated a major within the School of Environment and Natural Resources are directly admitted to our program. There is no separate application to be admitted to the School of Environment and Natural Resources.
To choose a major within the School of Environment and Natural Resources, select one of the majors below to indicate your intended area of study when completing your application for admission to The Ohio State University:
- Environment, Economy, Development and Sustainability
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Policy and Decision Making
- Forestry, Fisheries and Wildlife
- Natural Resource Management
- Environment and Natural Resources, Undecided - select this if you want to be in the School of Environment and Natural Resources but are undecided about which major fits you best.

Scholarships
As a student in one of our majors, you have the opportunity to apply for scholarships from the School of Environment and Natural Resources and The College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), which SENR falls under. Students must have one full- time semester of grades here at Ohio State before eligible to apply. The scholarship application is administered through CFAES and can be found here.
