EPN Evening with Dr. M. Sanjayan, February 11, 2016
People need nature to survive.
That’s one of the messages that Conservation International’s M. Sanjayan shared with a crowd of 1,500 at The Ohio State University on February 11, 2016.
Sanjayan, a global conservation scientist, writer and Emmy-nominated news contributor, presented “Earth and People: Lessons in Living Together” from 7-8:30 p.m. in the 1,550-seat Archie M. Griffin Grand Ballroom in Ohio State’s Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St., in Columbus.
Tom Stalf, president and CEO of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, also spoke and shared highlights of locally supported programs and projects helping to protect biodiversity in Ohio and far beyond.
Co-sponsors of the event included The Nature Conservancy, Ohio Chapter; ODNR Division of Wildlife, Wildlife Diversity Fund; OSU Office of Energy and Environment and Discovery Theme: Sustainable and Resilient Economy; and TerrAqua, student chapter, Water Management Association of Ohio.
