NOAA Hollings Scholarship

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship program is designed to increase undergraduate training in oceanic and atmospheric science, research, technology and education, recruit and prepare students for careers in education and with NOAA and other agencies. The scholarship provides academic assistance (up to $8,000) for full-time study for up to two academic years and a 10-week, paid summer internship at a NOAA facility.

          Eligible students will be sophomores with GPAs of 3.0 or higher who are majoring in disciplines related to oceanic and atmospheric science, technology, or education (e.g. applied economics, biosciences, environmental science, environmental policy, engineering, fisheries science, botany, conservation/sustainability, and related disciplines). The application deadline is January 31, 2014. More information is available here.
