High school students in Hilliard had the opportunity to learn first-hand about freshwater marine ecosystems. Their experiential learning exercise is featured in The Columbus Dispatch. Eugene Braig, program director aquatic ecosystems with Ohio State University Extension, the outreach arm of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) at The Ohio State University provided classroom instruction on urban fisheries and careers in aquatic ecology. TerrAqua, helped to organize and assist with the field days. TerrAqua is a natural resources based club at The Ohio State University with an emphasis on the conservation, care, and enjoyment of aquatic and terrestrial environments.
