Connection between diet and coyote-human conflict focus of article

Nov. 3, 2015

Associate Professor Stan Gehrt's research on the diets of coyotes in the Cape Breton area involved in killing Canadian folk singer, Taylor Mitchell in 2009, is the focus of a recent article for The Wildlife Society.  At the 22nd Annual Wildlife Society Conference held in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Gehrt shared findings from a study he and other researchers conducted to examine the diets of coyotes in the area to see if there is a relationship between the use of human food and coyote-human conflict.  Learn more about what they found here.
