COLUMBUS, OH — On Friday, May 2, nature lovers, families, students, and scientists are invited to join a full day of exploration and discovery at the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park (ORWRP) for its first annual BioBlitz — a hands-on biodiversity event where participants help identify as many species as possible within a single day.
Whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just someone curious about the outdoors, this free, family-friendly event offers a unique chance to get your hands dirty (literally!) while contributing to real scientific research. With the help of experts from Ohio State University, including researchers, students, and ORWRP staff, you'll explore the park’s diverse habitats and document everything from birds and bugs to plants and fungi.
