The Initiative for Food and AgriCultural Transformation (InFACT) announced projects funded through their 2020-2021 Linkage and Leverage grants program. Several faculty from SENR are on teams awarded funding for their projects, including:
- Shoshanah Inwood for "Ohio Emergency Management Food System Research Proposal"
- Steve Lyon, Richard Moore (Emeritus) for "Developing a Non-profit Business Incubator for Small-scale Food Producers"
- Steve Culman, Steve Lyon for "Multiscale Remote Sensing Technologies for Monitoring Cover Crops and their Impacts on Ecosystem Services"
Linkage and Leverage grants seek to Link (forge transdisciplinary connections among Ohio State faculty, staff, students and external partners) and Leverage (translate our initial investments into significantly greater extramural support for our collaborative work) to further our research agenda, building on our strengths in climate, environment, technology and agroecosystems; local to global engagements; new food economies; and campus food cultures and education to address compelling food security challenges.
