Nicole Sintov, associate professor of Behavior, Decision-making and Sustainability in the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) has been elected a Fellow of the American Psychological Society Division 8: Society for Personality and Social Psychology. Fellows are recognized for their distinctive and groundbreaking contributions to the science of personality and social psychology.
The School of Environment and Natural Resources is in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University.
Division 8: Society for Personality and Social Psychology advances theory, basic and applied research, and practice in the field of personality and social psychology. Members of Division 8 focus on how individuals affect and are affected by other people and by their social and physical environments.
"I am deeply honored to be named a Fellow of Division 8. This recognition is especially meaningful as it reflects the value of work at the intersection of social psychology and sustainability. I am grateful to be recognized by a community whose work has shaped my own, and I’m excited to continue advancing this important science alongside such an inspiring group of scholars," said Sintov.
Dr. Sintov is an environmental psychologist, whose work strives to advance psychological theory while producing insights that can be applied to benefit the environment and society. Dr. Sintov’s work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, Environmental Law Institute, Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, and Interstate Gas Supply-Energy.
