Ohio State’s Provost and Executive Vice President Bruce McPheron made a surprise visit to ENR 2100 this semester and presented Brian H. Lower, associate professor in the School of Environment and Natural Resources with the prestigious Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching.
Kay Wolf, Vice Provost for Academic Policy and Faculty Resources; Lonnie King, Interim Dean of the College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES); Linda Martin, Associate Dean and Director, Academic Affairs, CFAES; and Jeff Sharp, Director for the School of Environment and Natural Resources were also in attendance to celebrate this achievement.
This award annually recognizes superior teaching contributions with a maximum of ten faculty members at The Ohio State University for their teaching excellence. Students, faculty, and alumni may nominate faculty; and a committee of students, previous recipients, and alumni choose the recipients. Recipients are inducted into the Academy of Teaching.
