Sep. 30, 2025
Tamara Dunaeff

The School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) graduate program has a new staff member to support and serve as the lead point of contact for MS and PhD students in the school.

SENR welcomes our new Graduate Services Specialist Tamara Dunaeff.  Tamara was drawn to The Ohio State University and its culture of learning - working first at The Ohio State University Medical Center before moving to support Ohio State's academic programs. Tamara has an MA in Educational Technologies from Ohio State and has over 25 years of experience working with graduate students at the university.

Graduate Students: Meet Your First Point of Contact

Graduate Program Services Specialist

Office: 267 Kottman Hall

SENR: When should graduate students reach out to you?

Tamara: MS and PhD students should always reach out to me first. I am their first point of contact. Susie Jones supports our MENR students and can be contacted if I am out of the office and immediate assistance is needed.

SENR: If Susie is out, can MENR students contact you?

Tamara: Absolutely!  Our aim is to ensure there is always a graduate advisor available to support.

SENR: What is the best way for graduate students to reach out for help?

Tamara: The enrgrad@osu.edu email is monitored by all three graduate staff members and is the best way to get support.  Additionally, these conversations are tracked so if your graduate advisor is out, another one can step in easily and catch up on the conversation.

SENR: What if graduate students are in the building and just want to ask a quick question?

Tamara: Graduate students are welcome to stop by the graduate advisor office in Kottman 267 for help.  There is always an advisor scheduled to be in the office Monday-Friday.  If graduate students would like to check the advisor’s availability first, or if it is a general question that the SENR administrative assistant may be able to answer, you can stop by or call the front desk in 210 Kottman to see who is available and when.  The front desk office phone is: 614-292-2265.

SENR: How can students schedule an appointment with a graduate advisor?

Tamara: We have a link on the SENR website to schedule an appointment either virtually or in person: https://go.osu.edu/senrgradadvising.  You can also call the front desk in 210 Kottman and the administrative assistant can make the appointment for you.
