The School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) is pleased to announce Joe Campbell will serve as director of the Environmental Professionals Network. In its sixth year, the Environmental Professionals Network (EPN) is a vibrant community of over 1,800 professionals and students engaged in the field of environment and natural resources.
A popular feature of the network is the monthly Breakfast Club and the signature evening EPN events with compelling speakers on innovative topics and lively conversation. Joe is a longtime member of the EPN, with deep roots in Central Ohio and an appreciation of the natural beauty and resources available in our community.
Joe has a PhD in rural sociology from The Ohio State University and serves as lecturer and researcher in the SENR. He co-leads the Sustainable and Resilient Tanzanian Community program, an international development service-learning program at Ohio State. Joe brings to the EPN strong and diverse research and project management experience. Before obtaining his PhD, Joe worked on community development projects in Appalachia and in agricultural communities of Ohio.
Joe looks forward to continuing the mission of the EPN and is particularly interested in continuing to cultivate the connection between senior experts and young professionals in the fields of environment and sustainability with the science and outreach missions of Ohio State.
